Satellite and Aerial signal tuning
Both Free to Air Satellite Systems and Saorview installations require servicing and maintenance from time to time. Free to air channels can change the frequency they are transmitting on periodically, in which case your Free to Air box or TV will need to be re-tuned.
From late 2020 to mid 2021, quite a few Freesat channels changed frequency and usually all that is required is a re-tune of the combo box or the television itself. Saorview frequencies rarely change, however in 2020 a large part of Cork lost RTÉ 1 because of changes in transmission frequencies by RTE NL.
