Knocknaheeney's TV Aerial and Saorview installation experts
Experienced aerial and Saorview installation service in Cork
It can be difficult to find an experienced, professional and courteous aerial installation service in Cork city and the greater Cork area. We've been installing aerials and serving our customers in Knocknaheeney for over 20 years, and have a long history of prompt, reliable aerial installation.
We stock a wide range of brackets and aerial supports, and we are able to attach TV aerials to many surfaces to match your requirements, including: walls, flat and sloped roofs and chimney stacks.
We are also able to remove aerials that you no longer require, give us a call for details.
Are you having issues with your existing setup?
We can all experience problems with our television equipment or poor TV signal from time to time. There can be many reasons for it: heavy winds and stormy conditions can move aerials out of alignment, the elements can cause corrosion to connectors and aerials, waterlogged cables can cause problems, we even get calls where falling tree limbs have damaged aerials!
The Eircom mast in Churchfield began using 4G technology sometime in 2019 which caused Saorview channels to begin breaking up in many parts of the northside of Knocknaheeney.
Many people had been using indoor aerials or "rabbit ears" antennas which had been working fairly well up until then, but after the 4G mast became operational they were no longer providing good signal strength.
Some interior antenna manufacturers now sell indoor aerials with built in 4G and 5G filters, and while they will certainly help in many cases, we cannot recommend them. These are omni-directional antennas so they pick up interference and noise from all directions eg: electrical cables, WiFi networks, wireless alarms and even car remote keyfobs.
We only use DVB T approved directional antennas, so they look straight at the intended mast and give substantially less chance of picking up any noticeable interference.
Whatever the reason for you needing work on your TV aerial setup, we can help. We can diagnose reception problems, repair and replace any damaged equipment that you may have and install digital TV set-top boxes if required.

With the rise in popularity of external insulation to reduce heat loss where cavity wall insulation isn't possible, it has become more difficult to fit aerials to external walls.
If your home or workplace is externally insulated, that's no problem for us. We regularly fit Saorview Aerials to the exterior of externally insulated buildings without issue.

Add digital channels to your TV line-up for FREE
Saorview brings a host of digital and HD channels (as well as digital radio stations) to your viewing line-up. There are no monthly fees, and can be added to any existing TV setup.
Saorview digital programming is a great way to add some additional viewing options to your TV entertainment channels, and you only pay for the initial installation.
Can I get Saorview?
Saorview is the free Irish digital television service that was launched in 2011. It has gradually replaced the old analogue signal, which was finally retired in 2012.
Most modern TV sets have a built-in digital receiver, and can handle the signal from Saorview Aerials. Older analogue TVs and Projectors can no longer receive a signal without using a digital receiver box.
If you are having problems getting a good steady Saorview signal in Knocknaheeney we can install Saorview Boosters and Mast Head Amplifiers for you, and 4G and 5G Filters for much improved TV aerial reception.
We are expert with the installation of Saorview aerials, fixing Saorview reception problems, and we can supply and install digital receiver boxes if required throughout the Cork area.
