Reception of various TV channels have undergone many changes in Bishopstown over the last 8 to 10 years. In 2019, many people living in Wilton lost access to the Irish TV stations when Virgin Media discontinued the analogue service that they had been providing for well over 20 years.
Some viewers with older TV sets opted to get a Saorview Combi-box to restore the missing channels. In addition to the 4 channels they had been receiving they now had Virgin Media 1, 2 and 3 as well as RTE News Now and the +1 versions of RTE 1 and 2 all with hugely improved picture quality.
Depending on which part of Wilton they lived dictated whether an indoor or outdoor aerial was needed. The mobile phone mast near to the Garda Station and the various smaller 5G masts can sometimes cause interfetence to RTE 2 and Virgin Media 1 and in these cases a 4G/5G filter must be used.
Do you need your aerial moved to a new location?
We are regularly asked to move existing TV aerials and cabling from one location to another. Sometimes our customer is moving to a new home and they want to take their aerial equipment with them, on other occasions we move aerials from one part of the home to another.
We can move aerials onto chimneys, flat roofs, walls and we can even install aerials into attic spaces if required. Even if your home or workplace is externally insulated, we can install an aerial for you.
Is your home externally insulated? No problem!
With the rise in popularity of external insulation to reduce heat loss where cavity wall insulation isn't possible, it has become more difficult to fit aerials to external walls.
If your home or workplace is externally insulated, that's no problem for us. We regularly fit Saorview Aerials to the exterior of externally insulated buildings without issue.
Having reception problems? We can help.
There are many reasons you may be having problems with your TV signal: damaged aerial or cabling, poor aerial alignment or even interference from mobile phone mast signals.
We can install Saorview Boosters, Mast Head Amplifiers and 4G and 5G Filters for uninterrupted aerial reception.
Add digital channels to your TV line-up for FREE
Saorview brings a host of digital and HD channels (as well as digital radio stations) to your viewing line-up. There are no monthly fees, and can be added to any existing TV setup.
Saorview digital programming is a great way to add some additional viewing options to your TV entertainment channels, and you only pay for the initial installation.
Can I get Saorview?
Saorview is the free Irish digital television service that was launched in 2011. It has gradually replaced the old analogue signal, which was finally retired in 2012.
Most modern TV sets have a built-in digital receiver, and can handle the signal from Saorview Aerials. Older analogue TVs and Projectors can no longer receive a signal without using a digital receiver box.
If you are having problems getting a good Saorview signal in Bishopstown we can install Saorview Boosters and Mast Head Amplifiers, and 4G and 5G Filters for much improved digital TV reception.
We are expert with the installation of Saorview aerials, fixing Saorview reception issues and we can supply and install digital receiver boxes if required.
