Are you interested in Freeview or Freesat?
If you live in certain areas in Ireland you can get the UK's free to air Freeview TV service (includes BBC channels, ITV, Channel 4 and more) on a standard digital capable aerial. Outside these areas we supply and install a satellite dish which will allow you to receive these channels.
Another free to air service available is Freesat which carries many more channels (including Paramount, Dave, Sky News, Food Network etc.) which requires a satellite dish to receive in Ireland.
Both of these services are free on a monthly basis, only costing the one-off equipment and installation fee. They are a great way to reduce the monthly bills, but still have a wide range of viewing options open to you.
What is a combi-box?
Digital combi-boxes (or combo-boxes) are dual input receivers that can take an input from an aerial and a satellite dish, eliminating the need to have multiple set-top boxes. The combi-box can be used to view the Irish Digital TV channels via Saorview and free-to-air satellite channels from Freeview and Freesat.
The great advantage of the combi-box is that it allows all your free-to-air channels to be combined into one system, with an easy to operate interface and one remote control. The combi-box can be installed with your existing TV and can usually be used with your existing aerial and Satellite dish.
Simplify your viewing experience in Glasheen, Cork with a digital combi-box!
Can I get Freeview?
Freeview is the UK's free to air digital TV service. In some areas of Ireland you can receive the Freeview channels without problems using your existing digital capable aerial, but in others you can get Freeview by using a satellite dish and Freeview receiver box.
What about Freesat?
Freesat is a free to air satellite service that offers over 150 digital TV and radio channels as well as free HD channels. There is no monthly subscription, all you need is a satellite dish and a Freesat or combi receiver box.
Add to your programming line-up today with no monthly bills!

What about externally insulated homes?
No problem! As we all become more environmentally aware increasing numbers of people are opting to fit external insulation on their homes. This may be because of solid stone walls where cavity wall insulation is not possible, or just to boost savings on home heating and reduce energy waste.
The external insulation material can often present challenges to attaching externally mounted fixtures for satellite dishes. At Ballincollig Satellite Services and Aerial Installations we have the expertise you need to correctly install a satellite dish to your externally insulated home or workplace without causing damage to the insulation material!
